Digital Enterprise Suite

Digital Enterprise Suite – Release Notes – March 26th 2025

Title Shadow
New and improved features:
  • Introduced an Event Library to define the emission and consumption of events using the AsyncAPI standard. This allows to connect to event technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Teams, Emails, …
  • Events generated by the Digital Enterprise Suite are now exposed directly in the Event Library.
  • Connector templates were added to the Operation Library dialog.
  • A connector right side panel was added (some customer had early access to an alpha version of that panel). It allows to drag operations and events currently defined in the operation and event libraries into the diagram as well as dragging templates or preconfigured connectors from the Digital Enterprise Graph. Note to alpha users: DES Internal services have been migrated to custom FEEL functions and the send email functionality is now provided as an event template (no change required to existing models).
  • The automation now supports using send tasks, receive tasks, intermediate throw events and end events that are connected to the events defined in the Event Library.
  • Product licenses can now be assigned to groups by an administrator.
  • It is now possible to load environment variables from a files in a folder to improve the security of the containers.
  • Speech-to-text (voice) input for text fields in services forms.
  • Data in the input context can now be used in the data output mapping of tasks.
  • Creating assignment expressions will now provide smart completion based on the data type of the data object.
  • The token used to represent a break point when testing a model is now different than a normal resume point to make it clearer that it has different interaction options.
Bug fixes:
  • The workflow modeler deployment message for a missing interface does not link properly to the element.
  • Fixed an issue preventing to use breakpoints when a data store content was copied to a data object.
  • The data panel of the test functionality could display the wrong value for data objects with an assignment expression.
  • The automation of a workflow process with an end event without an error definition would produce an error.
  • The OpenAPI definition of a workflow service would point to a given version instead of the latest version for message endpoints.
  • Could not change the header’s type of a relation in a multiple instance output mapping.
  • The test cases saved when a time result ended with zero seconds created a serialization that later caused an issue when comparing execution results.
  • For some rare warning and error messages displayed in the log viewer, a part of the message was hidden.
  • In service forms, the feedback of sending an empty string vs. null has been restored.
  • Links to terms were sometime failing in the Landscaping and Capability Modeler.
  • Transformations were not removed on data associations when changing their directions.
  • Fix the handling of some sentries in the Case Animator.
Non-Backward Compatible Changes:
  • If your organization was relying on the legacy logs written to the ‘/data/des/logs’ folder, those logs are not being written anymore to the file system but instead integrated with the rest of the logs on the standard output.
