New and Improved Features:
  • The default position of labels on links can now be changed using the contextual menu (right-click) under the Label Position menu.
  • It is now possible to resize the shapes to their default sizes if they were resized. This functionality is accessible by selecting Reset Size in the contextual menu (right-click) of a resized shape.
  • Updated the Microsoft products icons with their new branding.
  • The BPMN XML export now adds an extended attribute for the modeling publication state and version in a new Trisotech Extended Attribute.
Bug fixes:
  • When using the animator, it was possible to have a sticky tooltip that would not disapear in a rare case.
  • Vendor extensions at the collaboration level were not properly re-exported in the BPMN xml export.
  • BPMN Diagrams were not always properly loading on an iPad.

New and Improved Features:
  • FEEL is now the default language (for script tasks, conditions, …).
  • A new clear button was added to the data mapping (input and output) to change the boxed expression type. It is available in the contextual menu (right click) of the row.
  • The constraint on the data type is now displayed on data mapping (input/output) rows.
  • The FEEL parser now properly supports the inline context definition in literal expressions using curly brackets.
Bug fixes:
  • Fixed an issue that prevented events from being depicted at their intended sizes when importing certain BPMN XML file from other vendors.

  • Data Object has been added to the quick connect arrows.
  • Auto-completion has been added to participants and data elements to suggest the reuse of existing elements.
  • It is now possible to set the executable and closed attributes on processes. They are accessible in the attributes section of the contextual menu (right-click) of the background of a process page and a pool.
Bug fixes:
  • Animating a process with a compensation event can cause the process to be incorrectly interrupted.
  • Undoing the deletion of a row in a boxed context could fail under certain conditions.
  • Empty diagrams could generate invalid BPMN XML files on export.

New and Improved Features:
  • Introducing the Operation Library:
    • Allows to defined Interfaces and Operations that can be used in service tasks.
    • Interface and Operation definition is based on the Open API/Swagger standard.
    • The Operation Library let you directly import your Open API/Swagger files.
    • Defined operations can be linked to Service Tasks in the diagram.
  • Internal data inputs and outputs of activities and events can now be defined by accessing the contextual menu of an element and selecting Attributes -> Data Inputs/Data Outputs. Please consider the following special cases:
    • If a Service Task is connected to an operation, the Data Inputs/Outputs can’t be modified and are coming from the operation definition.
    • If a Rule Task is connected to a DMN model, the Data Inputs/Outputs can’t be modified and are coming from the DMN model definition at connection time.
  • Data transformation can now be defined for Data Associations by accessing the contextual menu of an activity or event and selecting Attributes -> Data Input/Output Mapping. The data mapping re-uses the familiar DMN boxed expression such as Literal, Boxed Context, Relation and List. Please note that the available context for the mapping is dictated by the presence of Data Associations (incoming or outgoing).
  • Data Object/Input/Output are now created with the Text type by default.
  • Data Inputs/Outputs are now displayed in the scope.
Bug fixes:
  • Fixed an issue that sometime would cause Choreography Task magnets to be displayed at the wrong location.

  • When deleting a data type, information about where the data type was used will now be displayed.
  • It is now possible to delete data types in bulk. You can choose to either delete all data types or only the ones currently not used.
  • The participant merging message is now clearer about merging participant that depicts the same process.
Bug fixes:
  • Fixed an issue that would sometime cause serialization issue when a pool war re-used as a participant in a choreography task.
  • Fixed an issue where duplicated ids could be generated when copy/pasting data object/store references in rare occurrences.
  • Fixed an issue that would sometime prevent the pasting of pools containing data objects.
  • Fixed an issue that would sometime not report the right X/Y coordinates of a link to a container on an XML export.

New and Improved Features:
  • A new side panel called scope was introduced. The scope panel displays the data objects and data stores contained in the model. They can be dragged and dropped into the canvas to create an additional depiction. The scope panel also exposes hidden data elements.
  • Ellipsis (…) will now be added as an icon on activities that have data associations to data elements that were hidden. Clicking on the ellipsis, you can decide to unhide data elements.
  • Data types are now synchronized across Data Input/Output and Object sharing the same name.
  • Diagram tabs now have icons depicting if the page is a process, a sub-process or a choreography.
  • When setting a flag on an element, if the flag overlay is turned off, the user will now be asked to turn it on.
  • There is a new filter available on places when opening and saving models.
Bug fixes:
  • In a very rare case, a connected link would be disconnected after a model reload.
  • The report will now always generate the pages in their tab orders in the document.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the word report table of sometime point to the wrong section.
  • Fixed an issue with the Method and Style validation that reported an incorrect error in a specific case of pool reuse.

  • When creating a link from a task in a lane to a task in an expanded SP in another lane (same Pool) a message flow was created instead of a sequence flow.
  • Alignment guides were sometime not shown when dragging a shape immediately after changing the current page.
  • Data associations on sequence flows will now always be saved properly.
  • In certain rare conditions, the attachment green highlight would not go away after a successful attachment of an element on the boundary of another element.

  • It is now possible to display overlays when generating reports.
  • A new overlay is available to display the process name for pools and call activities.
  • When using the spacer on a large container, the connection points are also moved.
  • When adding a lane to a pool causing it to expand in size, additional space is created around the pool to accommodate its new size.
  • XSLT is now available as a script language.
Bug fixes:
  • Alignment Guides are now always properly positioned when the zoom is not 100%.
  • Clicking on a validation error concerning a process depicted inside a pool will not always point to the right location on the diagram.
  • Alignment guides are now disabled when moving lanes.
  • In some cases, certain resize handles of annotations did not behave properly.
  • FEEL unparsed scripts were changed back to FEEL when opening a file.

New and Improved Features:
  • It is now easier to move lanes inside a pool. Previously the drop zone of lanes was limited to the header area. Now the drop zone extends to the borders of the lanes as well.
  • Participants (depicted as pools or choreography bands) can now be merged based on their name. When naming a participant with a name that already exists in the model, you will be prompted to either merge them as a single participant or keep them separated.
Bug fixes:
  • Fixed an issue where sometime a lane could get out of its containing pool.
  • Fixed an issue that would prevent to modify an existing data type under certain conditions.
  • Quick arrows are now hidden when moving a shape label to prevent undesirable interactions.

  • It is now possible to delete the process automatically created inside a pool (participant) by right clicking on a pool and selecting Delete Process.
  • It is now easier to move the label of a shape when it conflicts with the Quick Connect Arrows.

  • Undoing the action of adding a lane from the palette would sometime fail.
  • When moving a group of shapes to a new parent, label that were moved from their default position would not always be correctly positioned.
  • When using the spacer tool, sometimes labels were moved farther than expected.

  • The addition of “Copy of” before the name of elements when pasting them is now optional. To turn it off, go to the Preferences inside the File tab.
Bug fixes:
  • Fixed an issue preventing a choreography task from being dropped into an expanded sub-choreography.
  • Data type is now kept when switching a Data Input or a Data Output to a Data object and vice versa.
  • Message intermediate interputing / non-interupting events were not always using the right depiction in the detail pane and the report.
  • Improved the import of data state from BPMN XML files that diverge slightly from the BPMN specification.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the proper loading of models on safari for OSX/iOS.
  • The details icon on graphical elements would sometime disappear too soon.
